Use these helpful textbook resources for more in depth academic support. First choose the subject for which you would like support. Then, find your textbook and follow the links provided.

The Language of Literature: Grade 9

  • Go to www.classzone.com and Language of Literature: Grade 9 resource page and browse the different student resources Language of Literature textbook.
  • Select the unit you are currently working and use "Flip Cards" to work on your vocabulary and literary terms, access Unit activities and reviews, find resources for research topics, locate author links, and utilize practice test sites for the SAT and ACT in English.

Macgruder's American Government

  • Go to the www.phschool.com American Government resource center and browse the different student resources for your American Government textbook.
  • You can also look for the "Go Online" activities throughout your textbook. To complete these activities enter the web code in the lower left hand corner of the page (this is usually three letters followed by four digits, eg. "mqd-2091").

World History: The Modern World

  • Go to the www.phschool.com World History resource center and browse the different student resources for your World History textbook.
  • You can also look for the "Online" activities throughout your textbook. To complete these activities enter the web code in the lower left hand corner of the page (this is usually three letters followed by four digits, eg. "mzd-0100").

Economics: Principles and Practices

  • Go to the Glencoe Online Social Studies resource page.
  • Browse the "Textbook Activities," "Additional Resources," and "Beyond the Textbook" for additional support. Here you can take quizzes online, solve puzzels for each chapter, and view chapter summaries.

The Americans: Reconstruction to the 21st Century

  • Go to www.classzone.com and follow the prompts to locate your textbook. OR go to the Class Zone The Americans resource page. Browse the "Activity Center," "Research and Writing," "Map Center," "Current Eve
  • nts," and "Review Center" for help in Social Studies.
  • To access most of these resources you will need to create a "Student Account." You will be prompted to create an account after you select a resource or you can use the link above. Here you can take quizzes online, connect to current events, solve puzzels for each chapter, and view chapter summaries.

Goverment by the People: National, State, and Local Version

  • Go to www.phschool.com and follow the prompts to locate your textbook. OR go to the Prentice Hall Government by the People resource page.
  • Click on the "TOC" (Table of Contents), an "individual chapter" link, or the "more" link from the menu at the top of the page.
  • Once you have selected an individual chapter you can browse the various resources available including, "Chapter Overview," "Study Guide," "Glossary Quiz," "Chapter Practice Exam" and more.

World Geography: Building a Global Perspective

  • Go to www.phschool.com and follow the prompts to locate your textbook. OR go to the World Geography resource center.
  • Browse the "Chapter Summaries" and get an overview of what is in your textbook.
  • On the lefthand side browse the alternative resources including "Biographies," "Careers in Geography," "Current Events" and more.

Paso a Paso 1

  • Go to www.phschool.com and follow the prompts to locate your textbook. OR go to Paso a Paso: 1 resource page.
  • Utilize the "Table of Contents" to locate the Capítulo in which you are currently working. Once you are in the appropriate Capítulo, use the toolbar on the left to select the desired activity.
  • Within each Capítulo you can access "Hot Links," "Internet Activities," "Vocabulary Lists" and take "Self-Tests."
