Mondays-‘C’ days: all classes meet

Students will also receive on the 26th information that had previously been sent home in a summer mailer.  Due to staff and budget cuts, Soquel High School will no longer be able to send this information home.  Some of the handouts that will be distributed during A2 will be informational only.  Others will require a parent/guardian signature as well as additional information and must be returned to Soquel High School by Monday, August 31st (students will turn these in to their A2 teachers).

Forms that will need to be completed and turned in on the 31st include:

Picture Day will be Monday, Aug. 31st; order forms will be distributed in A2 on Aug. 26th.

Stay involved in your child’s education.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT = STUDENT SUCCESS

The SOQUEL HIGH FUND offers a way for you to stay involved, meet other parents, and help to make Soquel High a better place for your student.

WE ARE A GROUP OF PARENTS, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, ALUMNI, AND STAFF COMMITTED TO IMPROVING ACADEMIC, ART, AND ATHLETIC PROGRAMS AT OUR GREAT HIGH SCHOOL.  SINCE 2004, WE HAVE:

RAISED MORE THAN $575,000 TO SUPPORT ARTS, ATHLETICS, AND ACADEMICS AT SOQUEL HIGH.

PROVIDED NON- PROFIT STATUS AND A “BANK” TO OUR SCHOOL GROUPS FOR FUND-RAISING.

IMPROVED COMMUNICATIONS THROUGH A WEEKLY E-MAIL NEWSLETTER AND A NEW SCHOOL WEBSITE (www.soquelhs.net).

CREATED OUR OWN SOQUEL HIGH FUND WEBSITE WITH DONATE ON-LINE CAPABILITIES (www.soquelhighfund.org).

CREATED A SUCCESSFUL ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT AND DONATION CAMPAIGN.

With the District and our school facing severe budget cuts, it is even more important than ever for our parent community to help out.  This coming year will be very challenging, and we will need new ideas and people in order to sustain our basic academic, art and athletic programs at Soquel High.

Please join us at our next meeting on Tuesday, September 1st

at 7pm in the Soquel High library.

Check out our website at www.soquelhighfund.org to find out more about the Soquel High Fund.  Also, look for school updates on the school website at www.soquelhs.net.

We look forward to seeing you and your students in August!
