A comprehensive scholarship listing and resources that can help pay for college will be listed here ASAP. There are a variety of scholarships available to future college students and not all require a 3.0 GPA, financial need, or US citizenship. Please take some time to read through the list and apply to the ones that your student meets the criteria for. At the end of the listing are website resources that have additional scholarships.

CSE Insurance Group, Youth Automobile Safety Scholarship Program                                                                                          Deadline: May 11, 2012

 HS seniors who are children of full-time or retired public employees. $250 to $1,500 bases on the merit of student essays that propose ways to reduce the accident rate among teenagers. see: www.cseinsurance.com/scholarship.htm.

Cabrillo Commitment Scholarship        deadline: 5pm, Friday, May 18, 2012

2012 Cabrillo Commitment Scholarship - amount $500  Application available on-line or in SHS counseling office.

 

Women in Business                                                  deadline: May 25, 2012

Eligibility: women who plan to attend university or college during 2012-2013 school year, Santa Cruz resident, demonstrate a commitment to achieving their goals (High academic achievement is not a condition of eligibility!) Priority will be given to students enrolling in a SC County College or University. Applications available in the SHS Counseling Office.

"Future Accounting Professional" Scholarship Program  Deadline: May 31, 2012

 AccountingCareersforDummies.com's inaugural "Future Accounting Professional" Scholarship Program. They are offering high school seniors in California the opportunity to win a i$1,000 scholarship. This will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing an accounting career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college. Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program                                Deadline: June 15, 2012

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in.

Filipino Community of Watsonville: 

$500 Scholarships Available to Filipino or part Filipino students. Parents must be members of Filipino Community of Watsonville. See the counseling office for more details.

 

 California-Hawaii Elks Vocational Grant: Ongoing applications – No deadline

 $1,000.00: The program is open to any prospective applicant, residing in California or Hawaii who is an American Citizen, planning to pursue an eligible vocational/technical (voc/tech) course, culminating in a terminal associate degree, diploma or certificate, but less than a baccalaureate program (Bachelor's degree). Applications must be filed with the Scholarship Chairman, Exalted Ruler or Secretary of the Elks Lodge having jurisdiction in the area of the student's legal residence. Must be a U.S. citizen
