FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL AUG. 26 The 2009-2010 school year for Soquel High School begins tomorrow, Aug. 26. All students begin at 8:40 a.m. in their A2 classroom, posted on campus. SCHEDULES Students who have concerns about their schedules should come to the Counseling Office starting on Aug. 26 during an open period, before or after school or at lunch to fill out a Schedule Concern Form. The Counselors will review the form and the stated concerns and determine whether the concern warrants a schedule change. Students are to attend their scheduled courses unless and until they are notified that there has been a schedule change. Students are responsible for their attendance; if students anticipate a schedule change and do not attend their scheduled classes, they will receive unexcused absences. The following are reasons a student may not have received a course requested: * Schedule conflict due to single course offerings (i.e. courses that are only offered once) * Students not meeting course pre-requisites * Full sections/courses (in which case we tried to give a student one of their alternative requests) * Students may need to fulfill additional graduation requirements IMPORTANT DATES *First Day of School -- Weds., Aug. 26.
