Congratulations to the Soquel High water polo team for its 13-10 win against Aptos High in the CCS quarterfinal game Saturday, Nov. 14. The semifinal game is at 7 p.m. Tues., November 17 at Monta Vista High School in Cupertino. Go Knights!

SOQUEL ATHLETICS IN CCS THIS WEEK
D-IV girls volleyball: No. 5 Soquel faces No. 4 Carmel on Saturday. Time and place TBA.
D-II boys water polo: No. 3 seed Soquel has a first-round bye and on Saturday will face the winner of Tuesday's Aptos-Stevenson game. Time and place TBA.
D-II girls water polo: No. 10 seed Soquel faces No. 7 Live Oak at Live Oak, 7 p.m. Wed. November 11.
D-IV boys and girls cross country: Katie Alioto, Madeline Diaz, and Katie Heath on the girls' cross country team and Chris Foguet on the boys' team compete in CCS Sat. November 14 at Crystal Springs.

In the process of checking in our orange Emergency Information Forms, it is becoming clear 
that we are missing a number of them.  If yours is missing, we would have trouble notifying 
you if an emergency were to arise.  Please check to see if you have yours at home and turn 
it in to Cheryl in the Main Office before we begin our formal notification process. This 
can save us valuable time and help us contact the right person in the case of an emergency. 

EAT OUT, HELP SHS
Soquel ASB & Athletics are hosting an evening fundraiser at Shadowbrook Restaurant on 
Tuesday, Nov. 10. Please call 475-1511 to make a reservation. You must mention that you are 
with Soquel High School, and then 30 percent of your tab will go directly to the school for 
student activities, class materials and athletics.

OLD WEST ENTERTAINMENT
Do you like pie?  Do you like good guys and bad guys?  How about booing and hissing? It’s 
gonna be a showdown at the hoe down on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. as the SHS Knights of the Square 
Stage present “The Saga of Katy and the Gamblin’ Lady.”  It’s a rootin’, tootin’ sure as 
shootin’ melodrama.  Free pie a la mode with your $10 ticket. Don't miss the fun!

FANTASTIC FALL SPORTS SEASON
Our Soquel High teams have made a strong showing, with several claiming league titles and 
continuing on to post-season play. We congratulate all our school athletes regardless of 
season standings for their teamwork and efforts to improve!

GIRLS' WATER POLO: The Soquel High girls' water polo team faced undefeated Santa Cruz High 
in the SCCAL league championship game, and Soquel came out the winner, 6-5. Congratulations 
Soquel High girls water polo, SCCAL co-league champions! Good luck this week at CCS.

BOYS' WATER POLO: The Soquel High boys water polo team went undefeated in league play and 
dominated Aptos in the SCCAL tournament championship game Nov. 7. Congratulations and good 
luck at CCS this week!

CROSS COUNTRY: Several Soquel High Cross Country runners advanced to the CCS competition at 
Crystal Springs after their fantastic finish in SCCAL league finals. Congratulations to 
Katie Alioto, Madeline Diaz, and Katie Heath on the girls' cross country team and Chris 
Foguet on the boys' Cross Country team. Good luck at CCS!

GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL: Congratulations to the Soquel High Girls Volleyball team for its strong 
season (21-10) and first-round win in SCCAL Tournament play. They continue in the post 
season as the No. 5 seed in D-IV CCS and will play No. 4 Carmel on Saturday. Go Knights!
