GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS – 1/5/10 Welcome Back – Hopefully everyone had a wonderful and restful holiday break. It will be a MB day this Wednesday, 1/6/10. Need something special to start your day? Come on down to the Blue & Gold Café in Room 203. Open all week during 1st Period and Brunch. Electronic Devices – Students, please do not use electronic devices during class time. If you have an electronic device confiscated by a school official, you must make an appointment for a parent/student conference with an Administrator before it is returned. Skateboarders – Now that lockers have been distributed, there is no reason for skateboarding on campus!! Infinite Campus – Make sure you are checking Infinite Campus for your attendance. If you neglect to check it, you will be unable to make corrections after three days, and you will have to live with the outcome. See Ms. Britton or Mr. LaBarre in the Library if you need help with your account. SATURDAY SCHOOL – Now that we are back from holiday break, we will be having Saturday School sessions per our regular schedule starting THIS Saturday, 1/9/10…from 8:30a-12:30p in the Library. Please be sure to attend! PSAT Scores – Are now in. Please come to the Counseling Office at Brunch or Lunch to get your results! GRADUATES – If you have not yet placed your orders for caps & gowns with Herff Jones, please do so at your earliest convenience as prices could go up. FYI – Brochures were mailed home, but we have extras in the Front Office AND the Attendance Office if you need one. It is also advised to send your orders Certified Mail for guarantee delivery. Humanities Academy for Academically Motivated Freshmen – There will be openings next semester in 9th grade Humanities Academy English and Social Studies. Students need to come to Ms. O’Reilly’s Room 114 and pick up an application in time for the assessment which will be Thursday, Friday, and Monday (Jan. 7, 8, and 11) in Room 114 after school at 3pm. Applications will also be available from your 9th grade English teacher. Please see Ms. O’Reilly in Room 114 OR Mr. Levy in Room 326 is you have any questions. Yearbooks – on sale now for $75 until January 23rd, 2010. Don’t delay. Clubs Key Club – Come to Key Club Tuesdays at Brunch in Ms. Alaimo’s Room 211. New and old members welcome!! JSA – Are women’s bodies merely objects to be sold? Would legalization protect women from abuse? Come voice your opinion or listen to others at the JSA debate: Should prostitution be legal? this Friday, 1/8, at Lunch in Room 105. We want you to be there! Sports Boys Volleyball – Anyone of the male gender interested in playing volleyball WILL come to Sr. Dahlen’s room at Lunch on Thursday, 1/7…That’s Room 2-2-2 (222) this Thursday at Lunch.
