GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

New Schedules – They can be picked up in your First Semester A2 class at 8:40 a.m. (even if you think you will not be continuing with that class in the new Second Semester). Remember that you must go to the classes on your schedule. Do not start attending another class until you have been formally notified by your Counselor of any changes. If you go to another class without being on the teacher’s roll, you will be marked absent unexcused and have to go to Saturday School. First period classes will meet as usual.

Remember – Our Attendance policy states that the number of unexcused tardies and unexcused absences does not revert back to “zero” at the start of the new Second Semester. Your totals will continue to accrue from their current status through the end of the current school year.

Need something special to start your day? Come on down to the Blue & Gold Café in Room 203. Open all week during 1st Period and Brunch.

Winter Formal – Non-student guest applications are now available in the Front Office (the pink forms on the far right at the back wall next to the Knight!). February 10th will be the last day to turn them in (and February 11th is the last day bids will be for sale). Complete BOTH sides and please return them to Tjoni during Break in the Security Office as soon as possible in order to get the cheapest pricing on your bids. The following is required to become eligible to attend Formal:

  • All outstanding library, textbook, athletic, and other fees and fines must be paid.
  • All Saturday School time and Detention hours must be completed. FYI - There are only two more Saturday Schools left (1/30 and 2/6: not 2/13), so serve what you currently owe within that time frame and do not get any new Saturday School assignments. Again, checking Infinite Campus may prevent being assigned to Saturday School for truancy.
  • Parent/student conferences.
  • No suspensions for the year.

Saturday School – We are now back to the regular schedule, so be sure to attend at the usual time and in the usual place (8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Library on Saturday).

Formal DanceA Knight in Space on February 19, 2010, at the Cocoanut Grove. If you have ASB Stickers, buy your tickets today Thursday 1/28, & tomorrow Friday 1/29 at the Attendance Office to save money! The prices go up each week, buy quickly!! Go look through the halls for prices and details.

Front Office Aides – Anyone interested in helping out in the Front Office, there are still a few openings left…specifically all A-day periods AND B6. If you have good attendance, no behavior referrals, and grades of As and Bs only, please stop by and see Cheryl. She’d love to have you sign up.

Electronic Devices – Students, please do not use electronic devices during class time. If you have an electronic device confiscated by a school official, you must make an appointment for a parent/student conference with an Administrator before it is returned.

IF you HAVE to bring your electronic devices to school, please keep them in a secure place. Electronic devices are stolen every day, and many of these can be avoided if you take some extra precautions in securing them. Better yet, leave them at home.

Skateboarders – Enjoy skateboarding safely off campus.

Infinite Campus – Make sure you are checking Infinite Campus for your attendance.  If you neglect to check it, you will be unable to make corrections after three days, and you will have to live with the outcome. See Ms. Britton or Mr. LaBarre in the Library if you need help with your account.

PSAT Scores – Are now in. Please come to the Counseling Office at Brunch or Lunch to get your results!

GRADUATING SENIORS – If you have not yet placed your orders for caps & gowns with Herff Jones, please do so at your earliest convenience as prices could go up. FYI – Brochures were mailed home, but we have extras in the Front Office AND the Attendance Office if you need one. It is also advised to send your orders Certified Mail for guarantee delivery.

Grad Night – Tickets will be going on sale each first and third Friday during Brunch and Lunch by the circle out front. Don’t delay.

Transcripts – Donations for supplies regarding transcripts as of January 1, 2010 will be as follows for current students: $1 for the Registrar to send each official transcript and $.50 to make an official transcript to pick up. For former students all costs will be $5.
