GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS Need something special to start your day? Come on down to the Blue & Gold Café in Room 203. Open all week during 1st Period and Brunch. Skateboarders – Enjoy being green! Thanks for skateboarding to school, but now that lockers have been distributed, there is no reason for skateboarding on campus!! Infinite Campus - Make sure you are checking Infinite Campus for your attendance. If you neglect to check it, you will be unable to make corrections after three days, and you will have to live with the outcome. See Ms. Britton or Mr. LaBarre in the Library if you need help with your account. Everyone – We will be holding a school dance tonight in the MPR. Come on by and have a great time. In order to attend, you need to make sure all fine, fee, Saturday School, and uniform obligations are satisfied. Be sure to check the Exclusion Lists posted at the Cafeteria windows AND the Library windows that face the Second Quad. If you are on the List, you may NOT attend the dance. Students – 141 of you are one unexcused tardy or absence away from being assigned a Saturday School session. Check Infinite Campus to know if you are one of those or roll the dice. As there was no Saturday School Nov. 28, the next series of Saturday Schools will begin December 5. Progress Reports –These were given to your A2 teachers for distribution last Tuesday before the holiday. If you did not pick yours up, please be sure to do so at your next A2 class and bring them home. If you do not have an A2 class, please check with Ms. Williams in the Counseling Office during Brunch and Lunch. Attention Seniors – Today is the last day to turn in your Scholarship Profile (this is the form you received during your Senior Conference). Hurry to Counseling to submit your Scholarship Profile today! Yearbooks – Have you been good this year? Ask for a yearbook for your holiday present – on sale now for $75 until January 23rd, 2010. Don't delay. Choral Concert - The Soquel Music Department presents a winter choral concert on Wed., December 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the MPR. Men's Chorus, Women's Chorus, Jazz Singers, and Concert Choir will all be featured. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and $10 for reserved seating&endash;all must be paid prior to December 8. All proceeds are to benefit the Accompanist Fund!! Please come and support your friends. Holiday Boutique - The Soquel High Agriculture, FFA, and ROP groups present a Holiday Boutique in Room 600 on Thurs, December 10 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. If you bring cans to donate, you will receive 10% off your purchase. Come buy a nice homemade holiday gift! Mon., December 7, from 6:30-8 p.m., Santa Cruz City Schools invites parents to join together for "An Evening of Information and Dialogue: Raising the Next Generation for Success, Connecting to Kids, and What Families and Schools Can Do" at Branciforte Small Schools campus in their MPR. On Wednesday, December 9th, from 6:45-8:15 p.m. in the Library Soquel High is pleased to host Mr. Steve Shapiro who will be presenting a seminar regarding "How to Pay for College." Please advise your parents NOT to miss this informative event! CLUBS FFA – We are sponsoring a canned food drive. Any teachers interested in having a barrel in their classroom, please contact Dr. Kaplan soon. SPORTS Lacrosse - For anyone interested in playing Lacrosse, theseason begins February 1st, 2010. There is a team meeting today, December 4th at 3:30 p.m. at the turf football field. Coaches will be sizing orders for the new uniforms. Players will be able to pick their numbers. Players interested can meet at the field today at lunch. |
