Soquel High School has an active Surf Team. It is not a part of the SCCAL since surfing is not a CIF-CCS sanctioned sport, but instead it is a club in the CSSL (Core Scholastic Surf League). Surf Contest Finals:
Feb. 20 contest @ Manresa: Soquel defeated Half Moon Bay 67-54. Congratulations to Soquel Boys' Shortboard finalists Kyle Huber (4th place) and Garrett Colfer (6th place), Girls' Shortboard finalist Ella Madsen (2nd place), Girls' Longboard finalists Makena Madsen (1st place!) and Iya Colfer (3rd place), and Co-ed Bodyboard finalists John Tobin (1st place) and Roman Kluck (4th place). Way to represent!

Congratulations to Soquel senior Kyle Huber for his masterful performance at the Dec. 6 CSSL surf contest in Half Moon Bay. He captured 4th place in the Boys' Shortboard division.
