Letters of notification will be mailed home to students without a valid excuse for increments of three period absences of more than 30-minutes in any one period during the school day. Students who receive a letter of notification after the first three truancies of thirty minutes or more will be assigned Saturday School on specified weekends from 8:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M.
  • Saturday School is held every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. unless announced otherwise in our Daily Bulletin. Latecomers will not be admitted after 8:45 a.m. Students will be dismissed four hours from the time they sign in. Students may arrive no earlier than 7:00 a.m.
  • No electronic devices are allowed. They will be confiscated.
  • Talking or playing games is not allowed. Violators will be sent home.
  • Bring homework or school-appropriate reading material.
  • If you cannot attend Saturday School, notify Cheryl in the Main Office with a note to be reassigned. Students may only reschedule one Saturday School.
  • If you do not attend Saturday School, the Sheriff’s Department will issue a citation of truancy. Last minute discrepancies between student accounts and Attendance Office records will result in Saturday School being reassigned to the next session to reconcile the situation.
  • No hats or hoods in Saturday School.
  • No sleeping in Saturday School.
  • No food or drink in Saturday School.
  • Breaks are held from 10:00 until 10:15 a.m. sharp and from 11:30 a.m. until 11:40 sharp. Food service is available.
  • To be tardy on a break is unacceptable. Those who are tardy will be sent home with no penalty; however, credit will not be given for the time put in to that point.Saturday School is held every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. unless announced otherwise.
