Welcome! Please take a few moments to get to know Soquel High School and our website, which can put you in touch with the extraordinary opportunities at SHS.

The Academics section contains information on course offerings including a variety of AP courses, the renowned Humanities Academy, and the Green Manufacturing, Engineering, and Construction (gMEC) Academy. Peruse the Counseling section of this website for college entrance information, testing dates, and scholarship opportunities. The Performing Arts section details the Soquel High award-winning Jazz Band, comprehensive ceramics studio, and drama programs such as Knights of the Square Stage. Clubs, lunch-time bands, and school spirit are just a few of the things enjoyed by Soquel High students.

Monday August 18
Schedule Pickup & Picture Day is over - read below on what to do next if you missed it


Students who did not make it to Schedule Pick-up Day can turn in their forms and receive their schedule on Monday August 25th from noon to 2 pm for 10, 11 and 12th graders. Freshman can do the same on Tuesday August 26th from 1 to 2pm Only. Please stop by during these scheduled times. The administrative office staff will not be available to handle these items at any other time. Watch for the make-up date for school picture packages from Larry's Photography once school is in session.

Make sure you have the required forms and that they are signed by your parent, your schedule will be issued only if you have all the forms - they are: 

  • Internet use Agreement (9th grade and new students only)- turn in by August 29th
  • Insurance coverage
  • Locker Use Agreement
  • Emergency form
  • Students. Parents’ & Guardians’ Rights & Responsibilities
  • Pupil Health History (grades 10-12 only)
  • Scholarship Profile (12th only)- return by August 29th

"Students who did not pick up their schedules on Schedule Pick Up Day may come to the counseling office to do so on a first come, first serve basis. Freshmen, transfers, and students new to Soquel High can have their picture taken during their counseling visit. Picture retakes will also be offered later in the year (to be determined)."

Schedule Concerns: Students may have concerns about their schedules. If so, they should come to the Counseling Office August 19th to August 26th between 8:30 AM and 3 PM. Students will need to fill out a "Schedule Concern Form" and then meet with their counselor for a 10-15 minute drop in visit. No appointments will be made. Students are required to attend their scheduled courses unless they are notified of a schedule change. Students are responsible for their attendance, if students anticipate a schedule change and do not attend their scheduled classes, they will receive unexcused absences. Soquel Creek Water District will be replacing piping along Soquel Drive from 41st Avenue to Porter Street/Old San Jose Road starting in mid-March. Traffic control and partial road closures affecting Soquel Drive will be in effect through August 2014 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This will include one-lane limitations and no left-hand turns at times. The area will be subject to traffic delays of up to 15 minutes on Soquel Drive and some adjoining cross streets. Up-to-date information on road closures is available at sccroadclosure.org. Project information is available at soquelcreekwater.org.
